Quantum computing – The potential impact on Machine Learning
This session will provide an overview of the current state of the art in the promising field of quantum computing (QC). We will provide an overview of the quantum physics theory and the mathematical models behind the most important advancements in QC as well as an overview of the most important research directions with respect to the development of hardware to support QC. The session will also address the logical constructs needed to abstract physical hardware and implement quantum programming languages and will provide some practical examples in Q#. Finally, the potential of QC will be discussed, with a focus on its possible impact in Machine Learning and/or Artificial Intelligence.
