##The [[Wiki:FrontPage|first ever wiki site]] was created on the 25th of March, 1995 as an automated supplement to the Wiki:PortlandPatternRepository (see Wiki:History). The site was immediately popular within the pattern community, largely due to the newness of the internet and a good slate of Wiki:InvitedAuthors. The site was, and remains, dedicated to Wiki:PeopleProjectsAndPatterns. 

[[Wiki:FrontPage|První wiki]] kdy vytvořená vznikla 25. března 1995 jako automatizovaná náhrada Wiki:PortlandPatternRepository (vizte Wiki:History). Portál se stal okamžitě populárním within the pattern community, hlavně díky popularitě internetu jako relativní novinky a dobrého obsazení Wiki:InvitedAuthors. Portál byl a stále je zaměřen na Wiki:PeopleProjectsAndPatterns.

##Wiki:WardCunningham created the site and his WikiWikiWeb machinery that operates it. He chose wiki-wiki as an alliterative substitute for quick and thereby avoided naming this site quick-web. An early page, Wiki:WikiWikiHyperCard, traces wiki ideas back to a Wiki:HyperCard stack he wrote in the late 80's. 

Wiki:WardCunningham vytvořil portál a komunitu WikiWikiWeb asministrátorů, která jej zpravovala. Wiki-wiki si vybral jako náhradu lacině vypadajícího pojmenování quick-web. Co se úpných počátků týče, na stránce Wiki:WikiWikiHyperCardjsou wiki ideje zmapovány až k Wiki:HyperCard zásobníku, jež vytvořil ke konci 80. let.
